Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone, born on 5 January, 1986 (pronounced as [diPIkaPaduko] or [paDuko(pronounced as [paDuko]), is an Indian acting actress in film. Her main roles are in Hindi-language films. Her accolades include the three Filmfare Awards. She is also among the country's most highly paid actors. Time Magazine ranked Padukone as one of the 100 most influential individuals with influence around the world of 2018. They also awarded her the TIME100 Impact Award 2022. Padukone had the honor of being the youngest daughter to tennis the champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born and raised in Bangalore. She was a badminton player at national tournaments in her teens, but gave up the sport in order to pursue a career as a model. In 2006 Padukone made her debut as an actress in the Kannada movie Aishwarya. Padukone appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan a dual role for Om Shanti Om, her first Bollywood film, which earned her the Filmfare Award as Best Female Debut. Padukone was recognized for her role as the lead in the romance Love Aaj Kal (2009) which was later followed by a brief loss.
